What is the process?
First, your hair will be washed with a clarifying shampoo to remove impurities. Then the Keratin solution is applied section by section and allowed to penetrate the hair, often under heat. Your hair will be rinsed to get rid of excess product and then heat is applied again to seal the Keratin into the hair cuticle.
How should I maintain and care for my hair?
Stop, in the name of Keratin! To ensure your treatment’s effectiveness, be sure to wait about 72 hours before you:
- Wash your hair
- Sweat
- Wear any accessories like hair ties or hats that could indent your hair
- Overly touch your hair
- Get caught in the rain (Piña coladas are OK!)
Protect your gorgeously smooth hair by nourishing and moisturizing with a sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo and conditioner. When styling, use a heat protectant, minimize the excessive use of hot tools and avoid washing your hair too frequently.
